Sexual assault allegation: 9 days judicial custody for Muruga Shri

The 2nd Additional Court of Chitradurga has extended the judicial custody of Swamiji of Marugamath for 9 days in the case of sexual assault and Muruga Sharan has been jailed for the second time.

Shivamurthy Swamiji of Muruga Math was arrested under the POCSO Act on charges of sexual harassment of minor girls. The court has now remanded him in judicial custody till September 14.

The 2nd Additional Court sent Murughashree to judicial custody till September 14. The order was given by Komala, Judge of the Second Additional Sessions Court, Chitradurga.

Mr. Muruga will be shifted to jail. Against this background, a police presence has been deployed near the Chitradurga District Jail. A barricade has been set up by the police in front of the jail and a contingent of KSRP including local police has been deployed.
